Belinda Nansasi takes 2019 Miss Curvy crown
Belinda Nansasi,25, was crowned 2019 Miss Curvy Uganda at Imperial Royale Hotel, on Friday night.
Nansasi also won herself a sleek Jeep Grand Cherokee and a scholarship at Victoria University to study a Diploma, Bachelors or Masters Degree in addition to a free short course in Public Speaking and Presentation.
She beat 24 other contestants to the crown and the grand prize after the ladies completed a series of cat-walking on the runway in different attires and a brain battle answering questions from the judges.
The state minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda, who launched the Miss Curvy pageant a few months back, was among the dignitaries who graced the event.
The beauty pageant was started with a main objective of promoting Uganda’s tourism sector by attracting as many tourists to the country as possible.
Nansasi’s chief role is to act as tourism ambassador.
