Makerere issues programme for 69th Graduation ceremony

With less than 3 weeks left until the sixty ninth Makerere University graduation ceremony, the university has released a programme that will be followed during the four day convocation.

According to the Academic Registrar at Makerere University, Dr. Alfred Masikye Namoah, 10216 students are expected to graduate in January.

These will however be subjected to full payment of the necessary convocation, graduation, transcripts and tuition fees.

The ceremony will kick off on Tuesday, 15th January, 2019 with four colleges of; Natural Sciences, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Education and External Studies and that of Health Sciences.

Wednesday 16th, January 2019 will see students from the College of Business and Management Sciences, College of Computing and Information Science and College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resource and Bio Security graduating next.

Over 3000 students from the Makerere University affiliate, Makerere University Business School - Nakawa (MUBs) will be passed out on Thursday, 17th 2018 before the Colleges of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology, College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Law sum up the ceremony on Friday 18th, January 2019.

Issuance of graduation documents and gowns is on going at Makerere University, Senate building. If the Vice Chancellor's words are anything to go by, the students are also expected to go home with their transcripts immediately after graduation.
