Nine remanded over Susan Magara murder
Nine people have been charged and remanded to Luzira prison over the kidnap and murder of Susan Magara.
Magara (28) who was working as an administrator for the family businesses as well as a cashier for Bwendo Dairy Farm in Hoima was kidnapped in Mengo as she left work to drive home in Lungujja on February 7.

She was held captive for three weeks, before being killed and body dumped in Kitiko Village between Kajjansi and Kigo along the Entebbe Express highway.
On Friday, Buganda road chief magistrates court charged nine people including Patrick Kasaija (36), Yusuf Lubega (32), Hussein Wasswa (22), Muzamiru Ssali (27), Hassan Kato Miiro (22), Hajara Nakandi (35), Abubaker Kyewolwa (30), Mahad Kasalita, an Imam at Usafi Mosque, and Ismail Bukenya with the kidnap and subsequent murder of Magara.
Prosecution alleges that the nine and others still at large on February 7 kidnapped Magara with intent to procure a ransom or benefit from her liberation from the danger of being murdered.
It further alleges that the accused and others still at large on the February 27 at Kigo in Wakiso district murdered Magara.
Buganda Road grade one magistrate Charles Yeteise however did not allow them to take plea because the court does not have jurisdiction to hear capital offences and remanded them to Luzira until June 1.
