Singer Chris Evans batterers disagree, abandon his car near home

The yet to be identified thugs who battered singer Chris Evans Kaweesa and made off with his car later abandoned the car near his home in Mutundwe.

Chris Evans was last night waylaid and clobbered by thugs with an iron bar on his head before making off with the vehicle, a Toyota Wish UAZ 399.

However, his car has been discovered dumped in Wankulukuku this morning.

According to a witness who talked to Nile Post on condition of anonymity, two people parked the car near a chapatti stall and got out quarrelling bitterly before walking away from the car, never to return.

“At around 4:00am, a car approached and two occupants got out before engaging in a quarrel for a long time. After quarrelling for over 20 minutes, they abandoned the vehicle and walked away," he said.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Luke Owyesigyire confirmed the development, saying that: "Yes it was recovered a few minutes back in Kigaga zone Mutundwe, close to his home."
