Kayihura still IGP on Police Twitter, Facebook and Website hours later

They might have been probably the most active handlers in the country during the time Kale Kayihura was Inspector general of Police, updating everything as it came, but the police communication team are not yet at par with the sacking of their former boss.

It is more than 18 hours since President Museveni dismissed Kayihura from his 13 years’ presence at the top of the force, but the communication team at Naguru are yet to welcome their new boss or let go of their old one.

The Twitter handle of @IGPUGANDA still bears the image of gen Kayihura and a short profile of him as the chairman EAPCCO (East African Police Chiefs Cooperation Organisation) and Inspector General of Uganda Police.

The same applies to Facebook where the official Police page is only announcing an upcoming blood donation drive and grave quiet about the changes in their own compound.

The Police Website still indicates that Kayihura is still top of the force and has no indication of the new bosses.
