Bobi Wine raps Museveni on spate of kidnaps, murders

Kyadondo East legislator Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssetanumu, alias Bobi Wine has expressed dissatisfaction at the way security agencies and President Museveni are handling the increasing cases of kidnaps and murders.

Kyagulanyi made the renouncement on his return from USA where he had gone to pursue a short leadership training course at Harvard.

"I returned to the country to news of another young life lost in very disturbing circumstances. [Susan] Magara had dreams, ambitions and aspirations but all snuffed out in an instant by some cruel and heartless individuals", he said.

He also noted that apparently as things are concerned the nation is engulfed in fear as no one knows who is next and yet the people who are in positions of authority cannot explain and put criminals to book.

"So many young lives are lost each day and those in positions of authority cannot explain. Often times they arrest innocent people torture them only to be cleared of any wrong doing", Kyagulanyi pointed out.

The Kyadondo MP also said that kidnaps have become normal in the recent past as security forces have been spotted kidnapping people and throwing them in vehicles without number plates.

"Kidnappings have become very normal. Sadly, its even hard for citizens to know who is who. As we have seen these past days security forces kidnap people and throw them on vehicles without number plates," he said.

He said the president has been repeating the same promises about security year in, year out yet the situation has not changed.
