CAA calls for amendment of Aviation Act

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)  has called for the amendment of the 1992 Aviation Act to revamp the aviation industry in Uganda.

Air transport is one of those sectors which are booming in Uganda due to the fact that many Ugandan are now doing business all over the world.

According to CAA, air traffic at the airport is increasing day by day and some of the major airlines are now shifting the trend of flights.

Yet with the growth of the passenger traffic at the airport, there is need to enact new regulations or amend existing ones.

Dr. David Kakuba, the executive director of CAA says the laws will help the sector to meet the international demands and standards.
