As the holy month of Ramadan begins, Salam Charity, a Ugandan charitable organization founded by Next Media, is urging citizens to embrace charitable giving.

Hajji Karim Kaliisa, the Managing Director of Salam Charity, spoke at a press conference, highlighting the importance of charity in fostering Uganda's development. He encouraged Ugandans to "be part of Uganda's development through giving charity."

"Our goal is to promote development in Uganda and instil a culture of using our resources for progress," Kaliisa explained. "We acknowledge that funding for many development projects, especially mosque construction, often comes from Arab countries or Europe. We aim to bridge this gap by encouraging local charitable giving."

Kaliisa's message emphasizes the power of Ugandan philanthropy in driving the nation's development. By supporting local charities like Salam Charity, Ugandans can play a crucial role in shaping their country's future.
