Tayebwa tasks govt to review courses before licensing universities

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr Thomas Tayebwa, has implored the government to review university courses before licensing different educational institutions.

Tayebwa was speaking during the fourth graduation ceremony of King Ceasor University where graduates were tasked to adopt technology even after school.

Over 240 students have graduated from King Ceasor University during the fourth graduation ceremony in different courses.

Presided over by the Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese, the Most Reverend Paul Ssemogerere, in his speech he advised the students to refrain from activities of dishonesty and corruption during their work places.

“ You are moving out of this University, but avoid engaging incorruption and be honesty do not be taken a way by earthly things”, Ssemogerere said.

Tayebwa implored the government to avoid licensing different universities before reviewing the respective courses.

“I need government to prioritise the issue of licencisng such institutions we have teachers who have zero teachers hours yet they are paid when they are on leave,” he said.

As Uganda makes strides towards vision 2040, graduates have been tasked to embrace technology in the challenging evolving world.
