In a statement released by the club, Mwebaze has been placed on a 28-day suspension, effective immediately.
"This letter serves to inform you that your job responsibilities with the club have been temporarily suspended effective immediately," the club said.
Club chairman Andrew Wambi explained that the suspension was prompted by multiple complaints regarding the coach's indiscipline.
Mwebaze is accused of several unethical actions, including attacking the club's leadership and fans through various social media platforms, particularly on X.
He also allegedly made an obscene gesture towards fans during and after the match against Vipers FC at Mbale Stadium.
Furthermore, the coach is accused of engaging in heated verbal exchanges with fans, which the club claims have tarnished its reputation and created conflicts between the organization and its supporters.
"Basing on the above allegations that constitute sufficient cause for disciplinary action, you are hereby suspended from coaching/ handling, and or managing your remaining 2 games against Maroons Fc and NEC fc pending further investigations," the club chairman said.
The club has indicated that Mwebaze will receive half of his salary during the suspension period.
"You should also be mindful that the Club's known mission which is also within your knowledge, is to be the most successful community club in Africa on and off the field," Wambi noted.
