BOXING | The Uganda Boxing Federation has announced the eagerly awaited national boxing squad to the 13th All-Africa Games in Ghana.

The Bombers will be punching their way into medals under the guidance of coaches Patrick Lihanda and Juma Nsubuga.

Comprising seven talented boxers, the Bombers are poised to showcase their skills and strive for success in the continental tournament.

The team that departed last Friday March 8 awaits the draws on Wednesday, a day before the rings are opened to duels.

Despite facing challenges stemming from limited training time, the team boasts a blend of experienced fighters and promising newcomers.

Isaac Masembe and David Ssemujju secured silver in the Men’s Featherweight (57kg) and Men’s Middleweight (75kg) categories, respectively, while Hellen Baleke earned bronze in the Women’s Middleweight (75kg) division.
