KCCA FC had to wait for the 90th-minute mark to take the lead again in Luzira.

Nigerian forward, John Odumegwu’s volley was handled by Silvester Okello for the centre referee to point to the spot-kick which was well taken by Mustafa Kizza to beat goalkeeper Ssebwalunyo for the Kasasiro boys’ second goal.

Odemegwu took the lead beyond reach when he capitalized on cross from Erisa Sekisambu with a diving header that went past the Maroons goalkeeper for KCCA FC’s third goal of the day.

The Kasasiro boys won the game 3-1 against a boggy Maroons FC coached by Douglas Bamweyana.

Speaking shortly after the game, KCCA FC coach, Mike Mutebi admitted Maroons played well on the day but were just unlucky.

“We played not so well but picked a good result. I thought Maroons put up a very good fight,”Mutebi said shortly after the game.

The win ensured KCCA FC are 7th with 13 points after 7 games whereas Maroons are 9th on the same number of points but with an inferior goal difference in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
