Bobi Wine insists that Osobola concert will take place as police keeps artiste guessing

Kyadondo East Legislator Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has affirmed that his Osobola Concert slated for October 9, will take place at One Love Beach, Busaabala.

Addressing journalists at his base in Kamwokya he said he had done the cardinal duty of informing the police as the law requires.

He said the police was yet to give him a response.

The People Power head said that police's silence will not stop them from going ahead with the preparations.

"We are interpreting the silence from the police as a green light,"  he said.

Kyagulanyi said he will personally walk to the police headquarters tomorrow if he does not receive any reply to his application by the end of the day.

But Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson, told journalists that police is yet to receive an official communication from the territorial commanders where the concert will be held.

He said the commanders are tasked to visit the scene and see whether it complies with the set minimum security standards such as fire extinguisher, body scanners.

He said without the confirmation of the commanders, the show will not take place.
