VIDEO: Jose Chameleone officially joins DP as he prepares to take on Lukwago

Singer Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone has officially announced that he has joined opposition Democratic Party.

During the DP/UYD Busoga reunion at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja Chameleone who participated in Tubonga Naawe song stunned the DP leaders when he graced this occasion before he announced that DP is his new political home.

Chameleon has already announced that he will run for the Kampala Lord Mayorship in 2021.

Opposition leaders led by Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi and Nobert Mao welcomed Jose Chameleone in the opposition.

As Early as 8:00am, hundreds of DP supporters and well wishers from the 11 districts of Busoga had already gathered at Kakindu Stadium to attend the much anticipated DP/UYD Busoga reunion.

Among the well wishers was Chameleone who joined other DP leaders led by DP President General Nobert Mao, his predecessor Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere and a legion of opposition figures including the leader of the newly formed Alliance for National Transformation Maj. Gen Mugisha Muntu.

in his remarks Jose Chameleone revealed that he has now found a new political home in Democratic Party.

Mao the Democratic Party president general highlighted the need for opposition leaders to unite ahead of the next general elections.

Many leaders including Kyadondo east MP Robert Kyagulanyi and other opposition political players sounded a similar message.
