VIDEO: Kyabazinga, Busoga leaders demand for return of kingdom assets

All political leaders hailing from Busoga Kingdom under their umbrella body Busoga Consortium led by their patron and Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga are dissatisfied with the government’s delay in returning the Kingdom properties.

The fire spitting Busoga leaders while meeting the Kyabazinga of Busoga William Gabula Nadiope IV at Busoga Kingdom headquarters say it’s unfortunate that in spite of their effort in reminding the government return their properties, President Museveni has turned a deaf ear.

All politicians hailing from Busoga kingdom regardless of their political affiliations led by the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Kyabazinga of Busoga William Gabula Nadiope IV in solidarity and support of the Obwakyabazinga.

It was in this meeting that the Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV asked leaders from Busoga to join hands and task the government return the kingdom properties if the institution is become independent

The Kyabazinga also asked the political leaders to use the line ministries in the kingdom to fight poverty amongst the Basoga, domestic violence, early pregnancies, school dropout among others

In this meeting, the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga disclosed the dissatisfaction of the efforts of the Busoga leaders in forcing President Museveni to return the Busoga kingdom properties.

This is the first visit to the Kyabazinga of Busoga William Gabula Nadiope IV by all political all members of parliament from Busoga, district chairpersons, Mayors, RDC’s and senior technical people in the area. The speaker also explained the importance of their visit.
