Nakibinge made the remarks while officiating at the Ngo Clan's "One Million Dollars" fundraising dinner at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala.
The event launched a fundraising campaign to develop the clan's more than 100-acre ancestral land at Butesasiira in Butambala District under the theme, "Promoting and Preserving Our Heritage Through Tourism."
The gala attracted clan members, Buganda clan leaders, government officials, businesspeople and cultural leaders, including State Minister for ICT Joyce Juliet Nabbosa Ssebuggwawo and Head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo.
Speaking at the event, Ngo Clan Katikkiro Lubowa Sebina Gyavira said the campaign seeks to transform the ancestral land into a cultural and tourism hub.
The planned developments include completing the residence of the clan head, constructing a cultural museum to preserve the clan's history, establishing tourism facilities and building schools from primary to higher education level.
Ngo Clan head Omutaka Mutesasiira Namuyimbwa Keeya said the projects are intended to preserve Buganda's cultural heritage while promoting socio-economic development for the clan.
"We want to develop our ancestral home in a way that preserves Buganda's culture and traditions while benefiting future generations," Mutesasiira said.
Launching the fundraising campaign, Nakibinge commended the clan leadership for embracing tourism as a sustainable source of income.
"Tourism is one of the most valuable sectors because it generates significant revenue. I encourage other Buganda clans to emulate the Ngo Clan by developing their heritage sites for the benefit of future generations," he said.
Nakibinge also stressed that Buganda's strength lies in its people and urged clan leaders to mobilise their descendants to seek leadership positions from the village level to national offices.
"Clan leaders should encourage their descendants to participate in leadership at every level. That is how our clans will remain influential and well represented," he said.
Nakibinge contributed Shs5 million towards the fundraising drive and appealed to clan leaders to continue mobilising support among clan members.
State Minister for ICT Joyce Juliet Nabbosa Ssebuggwawo welcomed the initiative, describing tourism as one of Uganda's leading foreign exchange earners, and pledged government support for the project.
"Tourism remains one of Uganda's most important economic sectors, and government is ready to support initiatives that preserve our cultural heritage while creating development opportunities," Ssebuggwawo said.
She also contributed Shs10 million to the fundraising campaign.
Meanwhile, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo donated Shs15 million and urged members of the Ngo Clan to unite behind the initiative to ensure the successful development of their ancestral home.
Organisers said the fundraising campaign will finance projects aimed at preserving the clan's history, promoting cultural tourism and creating sustainable development opportunities for future generations of the Ngo Clan.
