Speaking on Salam TV's Transform Uganda programme hosted by Mariam Businjye, the organisation's Country Director, Hajjat Shania Kigozi, said One Ummah Uganda is the Ugandan branch of the international One Ummah charity network.
She said the organisation operates through Islamic social welfare initiatives, including Zakat and Sadaqah, to provide humanitarian assistance to people in need.
According to Kigozi, One Ummah Uganda serves communities regardless of religious or social background, with programmes aimed at restoring dignity and improving livelihoods.
Its interventions include emergency relief and long-term development projects such as food distribution, drilling boreholes, sponsoring orphans and constructing mosques.
"From distributing food to drilling water wells, from sponsoring orphans to building mosques, One Ummah Uganda continues to prove that compassion knows no borders," Kigozi said during the television programme.
She said the organisation's activities are supported by contributions from donors and the efforts of staff and volunteers, adding that the goal is to create sustainable improvements in the communities it serves.
"In every smile restored and every life uplifted, One Ummah Uganda remains true to its mission: serving humanity, serving Uganda, and serving the One who created us all," Kigozi said.
