Police warns on fireworks

The police has warned all individual, hotels and entertainment spots that were allowed to display fireworks on New Year's Day to follow the guidelines given to them.

Addressing a press conference, Emilian Kayima, the police spokesperson said they will work with sister security agencies to handle firmly those who flout the rules.

At least 800 individuals and entertainment spots have been given permission to display fireworks.

Kayima also cautioned parents who intend to move with their children to take serious care of them, warning that police will deal with any wrongdoers.

Police urged all that intend to hit fireworks to go through

all the procedures of clearance.

He urged revellers to celebrate responsibly.
