Airtel launches "Beera Millionaire" promotion

Airtel Uganda has today launched a brand new countrywide rewards promotion that will give Airtel Uganda subscribers and agents a chance to win exciting prizes throughout the festive season by simply transacting using the Airtel Money platform.

Dubbed ‘Beera Millionaire with Airtel Money’, the promotion that will be running for 90 days is set to reward all customers that carry out a financial transaction such as Cash In, Cash out, P2P, Recharge Airtime or Data, Bank to Wallet, Wallet to Bank & Bill Payment in a single day, as well as all active financial transacting agents.

On transacting, all customers and agent numbers will be uploaded into a randomizer to pick the lucky winners. Five lucky customers will win Shs 1 million shillings each (Shs 5 million shillings daily, Shs1 million for each) and one lucky customer will win Shs 10 million shillings in the weekly grand draw.

One lucky agent will stand a chance to win 1 million shillings daily and one lucky agent will win one motorbike in the weekly draw.

Commenting about the new promotion, Airtel Uganda Chief Commercial Officer, Amit Kapur expressed excitement at ending the year in a rewards spree.

“As the year comes to an end, we are happy to give our subscribers an opportunity to win money by simply continuing to transact using our reliable and simple platform. This promotion is one of the ways that we are giving back to our customers who have supported us throughout the year,” he noted, adding that unlike most promotions, Beera Millionaire with Airtel Money’ is all-inclusive as it gives agents the same opportunity as the subscribers to win Shs 1 million shillings daily.

Kapur also cautioned Airtel Uganda subscribers and agents not to get cheated or defrauded.

“Only one number will be used to contact winners – 0752600222,” he concluded.

As part of the promo, all prizes will be paid directly into the customers’ or agents’ Airtel Money wallets and motorbikes will be physically handed to the lucky winners at the Airtel head offices.
