Prisons Council Meets to Strengthen Governance, Uphold Professionalism

The 35th Prisons Council meeting, held at Kitalya Mini Max Prisons, brought together top officials to address key issues of service governance and elevate standards of conduct.

The meeting, presided over by Commissioner General of Prisons (CGP) Dr. Johnson Byabashaija, also saw the swearing-in of new members to the Council.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Byabashaija welcomed members who had just attended the annual general meetings, known as Kacoke Madit, which brought together top, senior, middle, and lower-level managers.

"I officially declare Kacoke Madit an annual event, emphasizing its importance in achieving internal cohesion and strategic alignment," he said.
