Kyabazinga Welcomes Bishop-Elect Lubaale, Pledges Support for Busoga Diocese
The Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope IV, has received Bishop-elect Grace Lubaale at Igenge Palace and pledged to work with him to advance development across the region, ahead of the cleric’s consecration on December 14, 2025.

The Kyabazinga of Busoga, His Highness William Gabula Nadiope IV, has welcomed the Bishop-elect of Busoga Diocese, Rev Can Grace Lubaale, at Igenge Palace and pledged to collaborate closely with him to accelerate development and transformation in the region.

During the engagement, Bishop-elect Lubaale assured the Kyabazinga of his commitment to serving under the kingdom’s patronage.

Rev Lubaale, an associate professor, said he looked forward to strengthening cooperation between the Anglican diocese and the cultural institution, adding that he was committed to working closely with ObwaKyabazinga Bwa Busoga to advance transformation within the diocese.

The Kyabazinga, who serves as patron of the Busoga Diocese, congratulated the Bishop-elect on his upcoming consecration and expressed confidence in the partnership.

He said he was optimistic that the merging of institutional strengths would bring progress to Busoga and wished the incoming bishop God’s blessings and guidance as he assumes office.

Prof. Lubaale presented the Kyabazinga with autographed Bibles during the visit, after which the two leaders discussed collaborative efforts to support development initiatives within the region.

The meeting was also attended by the Second Deputy Prime Minister, Osman Ahmed Noor, who was present to receive the Bishop-elect.

The Bishop-elect will be consecrated on December 14, 2025, at Bugembe Cathedral in Jinja City.
