The organizers of the Gulu City Marathon 2025 have officially launched this year’s edition, announcing a bigger, more impactful event dedicated to community development and youth empowerment in Northern Uganda. The marathon is scheduled for Saturday, 6th December 2025, at Kaunda Grounds, with participants expected from across the country.
The 2025 marathon is themed around raising funds to support the Martin Aliker Youth Skilling Centre in Abole, Omoro, a flagship project aimed at equipping young people with practical skills for sustainable livelihoods. This year’s event will feature the 10KM Fun Run, 21KM Half Marathon, and the 42KM Elite Challenge, accommodating both professional athletes and community runners.
At press conference, Krystal Natural Mineral Water was officially presented as the Hydration Partner for the marathon. Krystal Water will refresh all runners throughout the race routes, and recovery points.
