Residents of Ssentema Parish in Busiro North, Wakiso District, have been urged to uphold the cultural and heritage values of the Buganda Kingdom as a foundation for unity and community development. The message was delivered by Dr. Swaib Kaggwa Nsereko, the JEEMA spokesperson and parliamentary aspirant for Busiro North in the 2026 general elections.

While addressing supporters during his campaign trail, Dr. Nsereko emphasised that one of Buganda’s enduring strengths lies in its inclusive spirit—its ability to welcome people from all backgrounds without discrimination. He urged communities to reject tribalism, religious intolerance, and all forms of division, noting that such differences slow down social and economic progress.

Dr. Nsereko, a lecturer in higher institutions of learning, said he has dedicated his campaign to educating citizens on practical measures to combat poverty and safeguard the environment. As part of these efforts, he launched an initiative promoting the planting of fruit trees and coffee across Busiro North, a project he says has already transformed many households.
