KCCA demolish Masavu

Defending champions KCCA FC recovered perfectly from their loss against SC Villa last week to whitewash new league entrants Masavu FC 6-0  in the Azam Uganda Premier League on Saturday.

A tenth minute header by Derrick Nsibambi off the "dancing rasta", Allan Kateregga's, cross saw the home side draw the first blood at Lugogo on Saturday afternoon.

Mike Mutebi's boys doubled their lead seven minutes later thanks to Samuel Ssekamatte.

Kateregga who had a man of the match performance on Saturday was back again with a 35th minute goal that ensured the defending champions took a comfortable lead at  half time.

Substitute Tito Okello  scored  twice in the 58 th and 70th minute respectively to take the game beyond reach .

Paul Kaddu put the last nail in Masavu's coffin with 80th minute strike to leave the Entebbe based side's noses bleeding.

The defeat to KCCA only ensured that new league entrants Masavu' s journey back to the Big League becomes clearer.

The Bugonga based team has only won once this season.

In other games elsewhere, tax collectors URA FC and SC Villa fired blanks at Namboole on Saturday afternoon.

In Jinja, hosts Kirinya Jinja S.S were beaten 1-0 by struggling Soana FC.

Police FC are top of the Azam Uganda Premier League table with 16 points after eight games whereas Vipers are second, a point below the table leaders.

Defending champions KCCA are now fourth on 13 points.

Masavu are languishing at the bottom of the 16 team log with four points after eight games in the Azam Uganda Premier League.
