Nasser International participated in the 2025 Pan-African Youth Forum held in Djibouti from November 4 to 6, reaffirming what its founders describe as a growing role in youth diplomacy and continental integration efforts.
The forum, organised by the African Union Commission, ran under the theme, “From Ambition to Action: Youth as Catalysts for Sustainable Development.”
Hassan Ghazaly, an anthropologist and founder of the Nasser International Forum, said Egypt’s presence at the gathering was part of a broader effort to strengthen youth integration across Africa.
He added that Djibouti’s location as a link between the Arab and African regions made it a symbolic host for a forum pushing collaboration between young leaders.
Ghazaly said the Nasser International delegation reflected the forum’s principles of pluralism and cross-border cooperation.
The group included Dr Mohamed Ezz and engineer Rowan Al-Omda from Egypt; engineer Hudhaifa Al-Hassan from Sudan; legal expert Bubba Fatty from The Gambia; and UN activist Malika Elias from Djibouti.
He said this diversity was deliberate and aligned with the forum’s growing mandate to empower youth from different regions through exchanges on development, leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation.
Al-Hassan, who also serves as Secretary-General of the Arab-African Youth Council, said the council hosted a panel discussion on the sidelines of the forum titled, “The Role of Inclusive Markets and Inclusive Business in Achieving Regional Integration.”
The conversation explored how Arab and African youth can influence the continent’s future through building business systems that expand opportunities and strengthen economic integration.
Delegates also used the forum to underscore the need to move beyond isolated efforts toward regional networks capable of producing lasting economic and social impact.
They presented examples from Nasser International and the Arab-African Youth Council, including projects aimed at boosting youth capacities, entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
Founded in 2019, the Nasser International Forum describes itself as a youth-focused platform for public diplomacy.
Its programmes include the Nasser International Leadership Fellowship, the Nasser Youth Movement for Bilateral Relations Development, the National Vanguard School, the Nasser Social Platform (experimental), and several knowledge-exchange initiatives.
According to the organisation, these programmes form a model for preparing young leaders to contribute to development and international cooperation.
