The Democratic Party (DP) aspirant for the Kampala Lord Mayorship, Beatrice Mao, has officially launched her manifesto during an event held in Kitintale, Nakawa Division.
Ms Mao said her manifesto is built around a 10-point program aimed at transforming the city’s infrastructure and addressing the challenges that continue to frustrate traders and residents struggling to make a living in the capital.
Among her key priorities, Mao highlighted improving healthcare access for all, implementing effective waste management, and enhancing hygiene across Kampala.
She also pledged to focus on restoring order, improving service delivery, and making the city a clean and business-friendly capital for everyone.
“Our vision is to see a Kampala where citizens can live, work, and thrive without unnecessary obstacles,” Mao said.
“We will ensure that city services are efficient, the environment is clean, and every resident benefits from responsible leadership.”
The event attracted supporters from across Nakawa Division, who expressed optimism about Mao’s commitment to addressing the city’s persistent challenges.
