The Head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijja Uzeiye Namyalo, has called on the people of Kiboga to remain steadfast in the fight against poverty and to elect leaders committed to service and integrity.
Speaking at the launch of new livelihood projects under the ONC’s Kyambogo branch, Namyalo unveiled a series of empowerment initiatives aimed at lifting households out of poverty and improving living standards.
The event drew large crowds from sub-counties across Kiboga District, reflecting growing enthusiasm for the ONC’s community-driven approach.
Local leaders welcomed Namyalo warmly in a festive atmosphere marked by optimism for economic transformation.
“Elect leaders who serve and support you like President Museveni. Reject those who come to exploit you,” Namyalo told the residents.
She emphasized that government initiatives are designed to benefit all Ugandans, irrespective of political affiliation.
“Let us separate politics from development programs. These projects are here to help you—embrace them,” she added.
The start-up packages included wheelbarrows, hoes, crop sprayers, sewing machines, and chapati-making equipment, to be distributed in groups and phases for broader impact.
Namyalo stressed President Museveni’s commitment to improving livelihoods nationwide, urging Kiboga residents to work closely with the ONC to achieve sustainable poverty reduction.
Among those in attendance was Desire Muhoozi, an aspirant for the Kiboga District Woman Member of Parliament seat, who praised the initiative and encouraged voters to choose leaders who understand their challenges and provide practical solutions.
The event climaxed with the official handover of start-up items, celebrated through energetic performances from local artists, including Gravity Omutujju, who entertained the crowd with his music.
The Kiboga event is part of a wider ONC empowerment campaign being rolled out across Uganda, aimed at equipping citizens with practical tools and fostering long-term community development.
