Parliament Pays Tribute to Garuga
The House mourns the passing of a respected businessman, politician, and founding member of the Forum for Democratic Change.

Parliament has paid tribute to James Garuga Musinguzi, a prominent businessman and politician, who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 72.

The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, led the House in honouring Garuga’s significant contributions to Uganda’s economic and political development.

Garuga was widely respected for his entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering commitment to public service.

As a founding member of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), he played a pivotal role in shaping the party during its formative years, leaving a lasting legacy in Uganda’s multiparty political landscape.
