The appointment of Lukwago as National Executive Chairperson follows the general delegates’ conference that dissolved the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) on July 4, 2025, which was chaired by then-party chairperson Wasswa Biriggwa

Erias Lukwago has been appointed as the National Executive Chairperson of the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) during the party’s national convention held at its headquarters in Katonga.

Lukwago, who also serves as the Lord Mayor and is a seasoned lawyer, now takes on a central leadership role in the party.

Lukwago will be deputised by a team of experienced leaders, including former MP Betty Awol Achan, new party darling Lulume Bayiga, and other representatives from different regions.
