Stanbic Bank this morning joined the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in reflecting on the State of the Population Report 2025, under the theme: “The Real Fertility Crisis: The Pursuit of Reproductive Agency in a Changing World.”

As part of the initiative, Stanbic Bank donated 200 mama kits to support newborns in Kayunga District, reinforcing its commitment to maternal and child health in Uganda. The gesture underscores the importance of corporate involvement in addressing key population and reproductive health issues.

During the event, UNFPA pledged to expand access to family planning services across the country, alongside increasing public education and basic training on reproductive health.

The organisation emphasised the need for collaborative efforts to ensure reproductive agency for all Ugandans.

The public was also urged to actively support and utilise the Parish Development Model (PDM), a government initiative designed to accelerate socio-economic transformation at the grassroots level.

This joint effort highlights the growing recognition of the need to tackle reproductive health challenges in a rapidly changing demographic landscape.
