Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Professor Rachel Mindra Katoroogo has called on alumni of Vienna College Namugongo to go beyond social reunions and take an active role in mentoring and supporting current students through internships and career guidance.

Prof. Mindra, who heads the Faculty of Commerce at MUBS and is herself an alumna of the school, made the remarks on Saturday during the official launch of the Vienna College Namugongo Alumni Association. The launch took place during the school’s first-ever alumni dinner, a flagship event in the yearlong celebrations marking its 25th anniversary.

“We are a living chapter of Vienna’s legacy,” Prof. Mindra said.

“Let us speak to students, offer internships, and open doors. We shape minds, yes but we also shape memory.”
