The Bank has continued to stand in solidarity with the faithful, not only in spirit but also through active participation in the pilgrimage.

Meanwhile, the Mukono Branch walked alongside the Lugazi Diocese team, offering encouragement and solidarity throughout the journey, and also took part in the prayers on the Martyrs Day.
The Uganda Martyrs Day is a religious observance of unshakable belief. Between 1885 and 1887, Christian converts were martyred for their refusal to renounce their faith under the rule of Kabaka Mwanga II.
Their unwavering courage continues to ignite devotion among Christians around the world, and their legacy reminds us all of the power of sacrifice and the strength of faith.
Immaculate Ngulumi, Chief Manager Marketing and Branding, Centenary Bank emphasises the importance of shared responsibility in upholding the values symbolised by the Uganda Martyrs.
“This day is not only a time of religious importance but a powerful reminder of courage, unity, and the enduring strength of faith. Whether one has walked with the pilgrims or joined from afar, we have all shared a moment in honouring the martyrs’ legacy,” she notes.
“Let us remember to take this annual religious observance as a reminder of resilience, unity, and collective strength. We honor the spirit of the Martyrs and ensure that their legacy continues to inspire generations,” Ngulumi added.
This year, the Bank reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to the commemoration by contributing Shs 65 million, in partnership with Centenary Group, to contribute towards the preparations.
Centenary Bank remains proud to stand with communities across Uganda, honouring traditions that shape and define the nation’s spiritual identity. The Bank remains committed to walking alongside Ugandans in both faith and progress.
