Salam TV is set for its annual campaign for Salam Road to Makkah 2025, a groundbreaking initiative designed to bridge the gap between pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah and those in Uganda who could not perform the pilgrimage. This year, Salam TV has partnered with prominent Hijja and Umrah tour operators, including Weli Travels, Muzaata Tours and Travels, and Alhashimiyah Hijja and Umrah Company.
The campaign aims to provide real-time updates and insights into the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, bringing the spiritual journey closer to the hearts of Ugandans and the global Muslim community. Through strategic partnerships with various tour operators, Salam TV will offer comprehensive coverage of the pilgrimage, leveraging its digital assets, partner TV, and radio stations to reach a wider audience.
Weli Travels has taken a significant step by sponsoring a media person to provide continuous updates from the holy sites. Muzaata Tours and Travels has also demonstrated its commitment by sponsoring the Omumanyi wa Salam TV 2025, Hadiyah Namatovu, who made history as the first female winner of the competition.
During the send-off ceremony for Weli Travels at Sheraton Hotel Kampala, Salam TV Managing Director Hajji Karim Kaliisa assured the public that the channel would connect pilgrims to Ugandans and the rest of the world. "We will utilize all our digital assets and partner with TV and radio stations to ensure that information reaches everyone," he emphasized.
This initiative promises to enhance the spiritual experience of Ugandans and Muslims worldwide, providing a unique opportunity for those who cannot perform the pilgrimage to feel connected to the sacred journey. With the collaboration of these esteemed tour operators, Salam TV's Salam Road to Makkah 2025 campaign is poised to make a significant impact on the Muslim community.
