Nonda Commodities Buys 100 Kits for Coffee Marathon
The marathon will be headlined by Africa Music Icon, Diamond Platinumz from Tanzania and will have several local acts performing.

In a show of solidarity with rural women who form the backbone of Uganda’s coffee value chain, Nonda Commodities, trading as Nonda Coffee has purchased more than 100 Coffee Marathon kits in support of the upcoming Coffee Marathon.

Slated for May, 24, 2025 at the Africa Coffee Park Ntungamo District, the Coffee Marathon will be a celebration of the resilience, dedication, and contribution of rural coffee women, and an opportunity for both local and international participants to unite in solidarity with them.

“Nonda Coffee has always celebrated the value of women in coffee. This gesture reaffirms our commitment to empowering women across the coffee sector,” said Tonny Miiro Kibuuka, the CEO of Nonda Commodities.

“Supporting the Coffee Marathon is an extension of our mission to see women thrive at every stage of the coffee journey—from the farm to the cup.”

While receiving Nonda Commodities’ contribution and handover the Marathon Kits, Francis Harimwomugasho, the Director Legal Affairs at Inspire Africa Group – the organizers of the Marathon noted that the Marathon will be a unique event aimed at raising awareness and generating support for the critical role rural women play in the coffee industry.

“Proceeds from the Marathon will go directly toward programs that uplift women involved in coffee farming, processing, and trade,” he said.
