VIDEO: Several journalists arrested ahead of Bobi Wine's return

Several journalists have been arrested by security on their way to Entebbe airport as Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine returns.

The Nile Post has learnt that several journalists including Joel Ssenyonyi,Henry Lubulwa(URN),Diana Kibuuka(CBS), Siraje Kiberu(KTV) and Eve Muganga(Daily Monitor) have been blocked from proceeding to the airport before being arrested.

They have been detained at Aviation Police post,Entebbe police station and Kitoro police post.

Meanwhile,this website has also learnt that security personnel have forced journalists delete photos and footage recorded on their way to the airport.

Since Wednesday night,the police and the military have deployed heavily in major towns along Entebbe road.

A number of road blocks at Zzana,Kajjansi,Kisubi and other points have mounted where vehicles travelling to the airport are thoroughly checked.

From Kitooro,there are three check points to the airport,away from the usual ones.

At check points manned by both uniform and plain clothed security operatives,journalists could not be allowed to pass.

In the city centre,Kamwokya and Magere,there were long queues of cars as the military armed with guns and batons carryout foot patrols
