The Democratic Party (DP) is set to unveil its candidate for the upcoming Kawempe North by-election today.
This announcement comes at a time when most political parties have already declared their candidates for the election, which is scheduled to take place next month.
The DP candidate will compete against several aspirants, including Luyimbazi Nalukoola of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Faridah Nambi of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), independent candidate Alex Luswa Luwemba, and others who have expressed interest in the seat.
The by-election was called to fill the Kawempe North seat, which became vacant following the death of Muhammed Ssegirinya.
