Museveni to resume PDM assessment tour in Busoga Sub-Region

President Museveni will resume his nationwide Parish Development Model (PDM) performance assessment tour in the Busoga Sub-Region from Wednesday, January 22, to Saturday, January 25, 2025.
The Presidential Press Unit (PPU) announced in a statement that the tour aims to evaluate the implementation of the PDM and interact with farmers, leaders, and the public.

"His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda will resume his nationwide Parish Development Model performance assessment tour in Busoga Sub-Region," the statement read.
The tour will begin with visits to farmers in Namutumba, Luuka, and Jinja districts to monitor their progress under the PDM initiative.
The following day, President Museveni will commission the Presidential Skilling Hub, address a public gathering at Lwanda Primary School, and meet leaders from the Busoga Sub-Region at Mayuge district headquarters. In the evening, he will hold a live interaction with the media.
On January 24, the President will commission the newly established Tembo Steel Factory in Iganga and address a boda boda mega rally at Iganga High School.
The PPU emphasized that the tour reflects the government’s commitment to improving rural livelihoods and fostering economic transformation through the PDM.
"The President’s visit underscores the importance of ensuring that the Parish Development Model achieves its intended goals," the statement concluded.
The PDM is a flagship initiative aimed at accelerating rural development and enhancing household incomes across Uganda.
