Police have foiled a bank robbery at Stanbic Bank, located within Acacia Mall, neutralising four suspects while a fifth remains in critical condition.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon when a group of armed robbers attempted to execute what authorities believe was a premeditated heist.
Acting on intelligence, police swiftly responded, preventing the robbery and apprehending the suspects.
According to a police statement, the individuals involved were already on a watch list and are suspected of links to a series of robberies targeting financial institutions.
"The suspects were neutralised during the operation, and one is receiving medical attention in critical condition. This success follows ongoing efforts to dismantle organised crime rings," the police said.
