The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, has criticised the growing misuse of social media in Uganda, particularly the trend of insulting leaders, including religious figures.

He called for an immediate end to such practices, emphasising the need for respect and decency.

In his Christmas and New Year message, delivered at his Namirembe residence, the Archbishop condemned individuals who exploit children through financial manipulation for immoral acts.

He urged parents to safeguard their children, especially during the holiday season, and expressed concerns about challenges within the institution of marriage, calling for a renewed focus on its sanctity.
