The National Planning Authority (NPA) is set to consult Members of Parliament on the fourth National Development Plan, aimed at outlining the country's development priorities for the next five years.

"We believe that the input of our honorable Members of Parliament is crucial in shaping the development agenda of our country," said a spokesperson for the NPA. "We invite all MPs to join us in this important discussion."

The consultation meetings are scheduled to take place on December 3 and 4, 2024, at the Conference Hall in the Parliamentary Buildings. The meetings will run from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The 4th National Development Plan is expected to build on the achievements of the previous plans, including the Third National Development Plan (NDPIII) which focused on integrating human rights in the planning and implementation process.

The NPA is mandated to prepare national development plans in accordance with the guidelines established by the government.

The plans are designed to provide a comprehensive framework for the country's development, covering key sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, and economic development.
