Trade, investment

The ambassador said with the launch of this direct flight, the two countries are opening new avenues for trade and investment.

“Both Uganda and Zambia boast abundant natural resources, dynamic industries, and vibrant business communities. A direct flight shortens the geographical distance, allowing for quicker and more efficient movement of goods, services, and people. By connecting our capitals, we are providing businesses with more opportunities to collaborate, create partnerships, and engage in regional trade in a manner that will promote economic growth in both countries,” Col Mwesigye said.

“Uganda and Zambia are blessed with breathtaking landscapes, unique wildlife, and rich cultural heritage. By facilitating easier travel between our nations, we invite our citizens and international visitors alike to explore the beauty and diversity that both countries have to offer. Tourism is a powerful tool for cultural exchange and understanding, and we believe that this connection will deepen the ties between our peoples.”

“The presence of this direct route is a crucial factor in boosting business cooperation. Uganda Airlines will now provide a vital link for businesspeople, investors, and entrepreneurs to travel between our countries with greater ease. In this globalized era, air connectivity is more than a convenience—it is a necessity for fostering innovation, enhancing competitiveness, and unlocking the potential of sectors such as agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and services. This flight is a gateway for greater business opportunities and investments that will benefit both Zambia and Uganda.”
