The donation supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) championed by Roofings Group, including SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). The five wheelchairs were presented to children by Mwesigwa and Rt Hon. Rukia Nakadama Isanga, Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister without Portfolio.

Roofings Group, a leading East African producer of construction materials, has donated state-of-the-art wheelchairs to children with disabilities at the ongoing Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Conference. The conference, organized by the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, is a key platform for promoting inclusion and empowerment for people with disabilities.

A Sustainable Approach to Giving Back

These wheelchairs are a product of a workshop built in 2023 through Roofings Group's partnership with Kyaninga Mobility. This initiative aligns with the company's commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and empowers Ugandans with disabilities through local production of sustainable and easy-to-repair wheelchairs.

Roofings Group's Commitment to Social Good

"Our Chairman is passionate about impactful CSR projects that inspire others to join the cause," said Stuart Jason Mwesigwa, Roofings Group's Corporate Affairs Manager. "These wheelchairs are a testament to our dedication to creating lasting positive change within our communities."
