In an exclusive interview with the Nile Post, Kitambula expressed his commitment to working closely with various stakeholders in Rubaga, including religious institutions such as the Catholic Church, the Anglican Church, and the Buganda Kingdom, all of which have their headquarters in the division.

He emphasized the importance of collaborating with these entities to ensure peace and development in the area.

Having previously served as Deputy RCC in Makindye, Kitambula brings with him experience in managing urban security and fostering political cooperation.

He highlighted his achievements in Jinja, where he successfully tackled criminal activities, united political leaders, and facilitated the distribution of Parish Development Model funds. He expressed confidence in replicating these successes in Rubaga.

As the head of security for Rubaga, Kitambula pledged to intensify efforts against criminal gangs and other illicit activities in Kampala.

He noted that his primary focus would be on eliminating criminal masterminds, particularly those behind the sidekick operations that have troubled the city.

Kitambula's appointment marks his second tour of duty in Kampala, and he is determined to leave a lasting impact on Rubaga Division, ensuring safety and unity among its residents.

Anderson Burora, the former Deputy Resident City Commissioner of Rubaga Division, was interdicted following a controversial outburst directed at the Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among.

The decision to interdict Burora was announced following a series of public statements he made that were deemed disrespectful and inappropriate towards the Speaker.

The incident that led to Burora's interdiction occurred when he took to social media, making remarks that many interpreted as a direct attack on the integrity and character of Speaker Among.

The comments quickly sparked outrage, leading to calls for disciplinary action from various quarters, including political figures and members of the public who viewed the remarks as an affront to the office of the Speaker.

In response to the growing backlash, authorities moved swiftly to address the situation.

The Office of the President, under which the RCCs operate, announced Burora's interdiction pending further investigation into his conduct.

The move was seen as a necessary step to maintain the decorum and respect expected of public officials, especially those serving in high-profile positions like the RCC.

Burora was later arrested, charged, and remanded to Luzira Prison, although he was recently released on bail.
