The National Vice Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), Mr Micheal Nuwagira Kaguta, aka Toyota, has challenge youth to own the fight against corruption in the country.

Toyota said the fighting to end the vice is one of the good governance benchmarks of the organisation and espouses the vision of their leader General Muhoozi Kainerugaba in the post-Museveni era.

"Let's be a generation that upholds values and integrity," he said, "you youth have the powers to cause a positive change but in a democratic manner."

Toyota was on Friday speaking at the launch of PLU Youth Forum at Hotel Africana in Kampala where he represented "our 10th President Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba".

PLU Youth Forum is focused on promoting the interests of young people both professionals and those in informal sectors.

More than 1,000 youths from across the country attended the launch and appreciated the good idea initiated under PLU to address the needs of the youth while preparing them for employment opportunities.

Kaguta said through training sessions, mentorship and seminars, young people will gain insights into the leadership and good governance principals of PLU.

"We will be benchmarking from the founding principles of PLU of promoting patriotism among Ugandans, fighting corruption, social economic transformation agenda while championing Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as our 10th President," he said.

The youth who attended have appreciated Chairman Toyota for his tireless efforts and continued stimulation of the generational agenda of Gen Muhoozi.

They pledged to work closely with PLU to achieve the agenda.

"With the current organisation of PLU, all Ugandans are sure of the future of our country as we consolidate the peace and stability Mzee Museveni fought for," Toyota added.

PLU was founded in February this year as a civic organisation by Gen Muhoozi, who had been leading young Ugandans uner the MK Movement.
