The Masindi chief administrative officer Phiona Sanyu has in letter dated June, 10 2024 has noted that there is a growing concern from the centre and the district leadership about continued failure to disburse PDM funds that have been lying in the bank for some time.
Sanyu notes that she finds no justifiable reasons for the failure to disburse the funds to the intended beneficiaries.
Sanyu has now directed town clerks and all senior assistant secretaries to furnish her with evidence based explanations as to why they have failed to disburse the funds contrary to her earlier instructions.
"I direct you to ensure that you release the funds to the beneficiaries without further delay or be considered a saboteur of this noble program, and your response or action and brief is expected as soon as possible without fail."
The copy of the letter has been sent to the Masindi district chairperson, Masindi RDC, PDM secretariat,ministry of local government and PDM core team.
