The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has already dispatched all the logistics required to undertake the National Census exercise that starts tomorrow.

This as the statistics entity refuted allegations that census equipment have not reached the country main districts of Wakiso and Kampala.

With, just hours into the onset of the 2024 National Census exercise to be conducted countrywide, the Uganda Bureau of statistics has revealed its 100% preparedness to undertake the activity without logistical impediment.

"All logistics have been supplied across the country, no single area is missing out on the requirements to kickstart the Census exercise," Dr Albert Byamugisha, the Board Chair - UBOS disclosed.

In the stakeholders meeting held in Kampala, UBOS disclosed that they have dispatched all the necessary equipment to all parts of the country and enumerators are on standby class one to kickstart the exercise tonight.

"We are ready to undertake the exercise, our enumerators have been equipped with gadgets including power Bank to keep their phones fully charged to undertake the exercise throughout the day,"

Other 2024 National Census stakeholders led by local leaders have amplified their voice to rallying masses to embrace fully the census exercise with others calling upon local leaders to take up the mantle having a clean exercise executed, and to curb impersonators.

"We shall get involved at the grassroot level to avoid the impersonators from taking part in the exercise. I urge all members of the public to embrace the exercise as it has nothing to do with tax collections nor EFRIS, " said Salim Uhuru, Kampala Central Division chairman.

With exercise anticipated to hit hard lock in remote areas due internet connection challenges, enumerators have been equiped fully to overcome the bottleneck.
