Tragedy on Malaba Road: Teacher and Son Injured in Hit-and-Run

A Sunday morning prayer service at Tororo Pentecostal Church turned into a nightmare for Majansi High School teacher Derrick Owino and his 10-year-old son. While travelling by boda boda, they were struck by a recklessly driven Toyota Mark X heading towards Tororo town.
Eyewitnesses claim the Mark X driver, who remains unidentified, was intoxicated. He fled the scene after causing the accident, leaving behind a trail of injuries. Owino, his son, and the boda boda driver were all hurt in the collision.
Thankfully, good Samaritans rushed them to Tororo Main Hospital. However, Owino's son's condition necessitated further care due to the severity of his head injuries. He was transferred to Mbale Referral Hospital for a more thorough examination.
