The meeting, which was scheduled to take place Monday, March 25, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 27th at 11am in Bulange, Mengo.

Buganda King Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga, has stirred controversy by abruptly postponing a highly anticipated meeting with the leadership of the National Unity Platform (NUP).

The meeting, which was scheduled to take place Monday, March 25, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 27th at 11am in Bulange, Mengo.

According to sources close to the goings-on, a delegation led by NUP principal Robert Kyagulanyi and Leader of the Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi was due to meet with Mayiga.

However, they were unexpectedly informed at short notice, leaving questions lingering over the sudden change of plans.

The postponement comes amidst growing tension between Mayiga and NUP, exacerbated by the recent suspension of former Leader of the Opposition and NUP's parliament commissioner, Mathias Mpuuga.

Mpuuga, who is reportedly set to address a press conference tomorrow, has found himself at odds with the party leadership over allegations of corruption and abuse of office.

The rift between Mpuuga and the NUP leadership underscores broader challenges within the party, raising concerns about internal cohesion and accountability.

As both sides navigate this delicate situation, all eyes remain fixed on the upcoming developments and whether the postponed meeting will lead to a resolution or further discord.
