The Busiro East Member of Parliament Medard Lubega Sseggona has lambasted the style in which fellow legislator Mathias Mpuuga of Nyendo-Mukungwe was handled in regards to the Shs500m he allegedly obtained from parliament.

Sseggona believes that Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine, the President of the National Unity Platform (NUP) mishandled the matter of Mpuuga, a former Leader of Opposition in Parliament (LoP) in which he is accused of partaking on the cash bonanza in parliament.

“The matter has been handled recklessly, the manner of handling Mpuuga’s situation is gross and shabby,” Ssegona said while appearing on NBS TV’s Morning Breeze.

“We take a lot of energy and resources to build leaders, it takes you just one day to destroy a leader. The time will come when you will look for this leader but you won't find them like FDC with Mugisha Muntu,” he added.

According to Sseggona, Bobi Wine as the leader of the Party should be the last person to speak.

“I would advise my President Bobi Wine that he should be the last person to speak because if he speaks, no one else will speak.”

“I hate to hear the words being attached to my brother, theft and corruption. It's not this Shs500 million that is going to transform this country. We need to manage our resources.”
