Wedding bells are ringing loud at the Naguru Hill headquarters!
Next Media’s very own Ruvimbo Gore, an award-winning multimedia journalist known for her compelling storytelling and vibrant personality, is officially off the market and getting ready to say “I do!”
From reporting on youth mental health to unpacking socio-political issues with heart and clarity, Ruvimbo has carved a name for herself not just locally, but globally.
Her work has earned her several prestigious accolades, including the Nkumba University Best Apprentice with Media Lab Entebbe 2022, Media Challenge Initiative Best Radio Presenter 2022, and was honoured as a Gender Responsive Communicator by Aga Khan University, Nairobi.
Ruvimbo isn’t just a journalist; she’s a fireball of creativity and empathy. A poet, photographer, voice-over artist, and a passionate mental health advocate, she’s known for championing stories that amplify marginalized voices—especially those surrounding youth struggles and social inclusion.
To her colleagues, she’s a bubbly teammate, a loyal friend, and the kind of person who lights up the newsroom with laughter and kindness.
On Sunday, 3rd August, close friends and loved ones gathered to celebrate Ruvimbo with a heartwarming bridal shower.
Set in a picturesque outdoor picnic-style setting, the event was themed “Different Shades of Brown”—a classy, earthy vibe that matched her personality perfectly.
Guests enjoyed great food, laughter, heartfelt prayers, uplifting music, and shared warm wishes for the bride-to-be. It was equal parts elegant and intimate, just like Ruvimbo herself.
News of her upcoming wedding has already started making rounds among family, friends, and colleagues flooding her timelines with congratulatory messages, heart emojis, and throwback newsroom moments.
It’s the kind of joyful life milestone that tugs at heartstrings and lights up many.
